Water
I have a thing about water. The way it feels, the way it sounds, the way it looks, sparkling in the sun - even the way it smells, hitting the dry earth and turning the dust into growth. Grahamstown is in a part of South Africa currently experiencing a very very serious drought, but at Rhodes we don’t really feel that. Water still pours from our shower heads at more than 30 litres a minute - water we can drink, despite our fears and complaints. In any case, all of this is really just to say: Look at Boston.com’s World Water Day post here. It contains some of the most beautiful and most disturbing pictures I’ve seen in a long time, and it’ll make you think. It even contains a picture from my part of the world… Now you’ll go look, won’t you? :)
